**Important notice: Absence imports cannot be cancelled.** 

In case of a mistake absences must be deleted manually through the interface or using the API (see Use cases). **Use import with care!**

**File format**

Content-Type: CSV. Column divider is semicolon ";". Line breaks between rows.

All the following fields must be present with the field name in the header:

- legalEntity: Name of the establishment the employee belongs to.
- employeeNumber: Employee number.
- lastName: Family (last) name of the employee.
- firstName: Given (first) name of the employee.
- accountId: Identifier of the absence account in Timmi Absences (can be found in the leave accounts admin page).
- startDate: Start date of the absence, formatted as `DD/MM/YYYY`.
- flagStartDate: `"AM"` if the absence starts in the morning or `"PM"` if the absence starts in the afternoon.
- endDate: End date of the absence, formatted as `DD/MM/YYYY`.
- flagEndDate: `"AM"` if the absence ends at noon or `"PM"` if the absence ends in the afternoon.
- isApproved: `true` or `false`. Dictates whether the absence request should be created and already approved.

## Before using this service

This service is aimed at updating a given user TimeEntries easily, as it automatically detects and applies changes needed to transform whatever TimeEntries might currently exist to what you send it. It create, edit, or delete TimeEntries. **An algorithm tries to match and update any existing TimeEntries, but it might wipe clean TimeEntries before adding new ones.**

There are different ways to update TimeEntries. Please see [this guide](../docs/Use-cases/Timmi%20Timesheet/Update-time-entries.md) for a guide on how to update TimeEntries the right way depending on your use case.

## How to use

It will create, edit, or delete existing TimeEntries for a given period and owner to match the TimeEntries of the request body.

The request body is an array of 'simplified' TimeEntries, [please see the API reference for a TimeEntry model for additional information and main validation rules](reference/Timmi-Timesheet-v3.yaml/components/schemas/TimeEntry).

Here the TimeEntry `id` field is optional as the matching algorithm does not take it into account.

TimeEntries update service

You must filter on either `ownerIds`, `managerIds` or `legalEntityIds`.
As long as a timesheet is not submitted, its unique identifier is equal to zero.

The transfer object

Submit all timesheets for an owner up to the given period, or to the last submittable timesheet.

The response contains all affected timesheets, with a feedback about each item's status, subsequent to the submission action :
* `success` when the timesheet is submitted successfully.
* `noAction` if the timesheet has already been submitted.
* `error` in case of an error.

Timesheets are created and their status are set to `submitted`. In some cases, timesheets may then be automatically `approved`, depending on the approval workflow settings.

Once submitted, all timeentries on the period for that user can no longer be modified. In order to be able to modify them, the timesheet must first be rejected through `cancel`, `deny` or `invalidate` operations (depends on the current timesheet status).

If you have set up account transfer authorizations in Timmi Timesheet, and need to adjust them before submitting timesheets, only the timesheet containing itself the `startsAt` date you set will be associated with the `Transfer` provided  (i.e. the last timesheet).

If you need to handle account transfer authorizations, we strongly suggest to do as many requests as there are timesheets to submit for a given owner, in chronological order, so that you can provide each timesheet its corresponding Transfer.

For example, if timesheets of `ownerid=123` of April 2024 (`id=1`), May 2024 (`id=2`), and June 2024 (`id=3`) are pending approval, and you approve the timesheet `id=2` : both April 2024 and May 2024 timesheets will be approved once, and the June 2024 timesheet will be untouched.

Approbation can only be performed with a `pending` status, and it only performs a single approbation step for each timesheet. If a timesheet require several manual approbation steps, the endpoint must be called several times.

Approve a timesheet

Cancel a timesheet referenced by its ID, and any timesheets after it pending approval belonging to the same timesheet owner.

Starts the creation of a a report, based on based on an existing report-template. So you first need to retrieve the report-template unique identifier `templateId`.
